Seniors Identified as National Merit Scholarship Finalists

The National Merit Scholarship Program has announced that 22 Bellarmine seniors have qualified as Finalists in the academic competition, and will now be considered for National Merit Scholarships to be offered in 2019.

The Bellarmine students named as National Merit Scholarship Finalists are: Rishi Balakrishnan, Telvin Ciby, Samuel Clark, Shubhankar Gaur, Kevin Gottlieb, Christopher Hom, Daniel Kim, Rishabh Menezes, Kevin Oh, Jason Phong, Ashwin Pillai, Ryan Remmel, Abhishek Rengarajan, Samuel Sommerer, Nihal Talur, Kenneth Tan, Dylon Tjanaka, Austin Tsai, Tyler Vergho, Matthew Wong, Rishab Yeddula and Lewis Zhang.

Approximately 7,500 scholarships—including National Merit Scholarships, corporate-sponsored scholarships, and college-sponsored scholarships—will be offered to the group of more than 15,000 Finalists.

    San Jose, CA Bellarmine College Preparatory will recognize four distinguished alumni at its Hall of Fame ceremony the evening of August 24, 2019.

    Those to be honored, and their respective categories, are: Kevin Frandsen, Class of 2000 (Athletics); Bill Del Biaggio, Jr., Class of 1958 (Business); Jim Harville, Class of 1963 (Humanities & Fine Arts); and Major General D. Scott McKean, Class of 1986 (Public Service).
